Too bad that humans are rated behind some animals on this matter. What a let down. Why do we need laws in some countries to curb bigamy or polygamy e.g. Singapore, Malaysia etc.? I remember watching a show titled "Orca The Killer Whale" which was about an orca whale that sought revenge after its pregnant mate was killed by humans some time ago. So true and faithful to its mate.....How touching ! Like most mammals, humans are unfaithful species. Look at our history, kings of yesteryears used to keep harems and had lots of concubines. The reason was to have heirs to continue the reign- the fittest will rule and so on. Survival of the fittest? Or was it more of an excuse to have more women - greed for women, no sense of faithfulness or plain infidelity? Power, money, women? What to do that we are born as such? Blame it on our philandering human genes? Relationships are complicated. Many reasons and factors are involved. Sometimes it is difficult to draw the line and say who is right or wrong.
Many animals show better example when comes to fidelity as in grey wolves, beavers, trumpeter swans which will mourn the death of their mate until they die of grief, wild pigs, black vultures....... How romantic! 'A life mate'... Secretly most of us wish to find our very own one true life mate.....our soul mate to share, love and cherish for always.
Prescription : Finding true love is beautiful. Always cherish it.
